We start part two of our Route 66 trip where we left off last in Tulsa, OK. El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant originally began in 1950 on Boulder between 6th and 7th and has been in its current location on Historic Route 66 since 1953. Now, more than 60 years later, we are proud to say that a number of those early regulars are still our well-treasured friends, greeted by name and a smile. From the historic neon sign that still adorns the entrance of our one and only location, to “Tulsa’s Best” cheese enchiladas and margaritas, we constantly strive to preserve the restaurant’s 60-year history.

Tally's Cafe on Route 66 (11th & Yale). Despite the general interest in the American diner, the success of Tally’s Café did not happen overnight. It took a lot of passion and hard work to establish a diner that has managed to be around for more than a quarter of a century. In fact, Tally Alame, the founder of Tally’s Café, continues to pour his heart and soul into the establishment that he has built.
